New Students

All students who apply for admission to Carvin School, beginning with three year olds who enter nursery school, must comply with the age requirements set forth by the Department of Education of Puerto Rico and should be mentally and emotionally prepared to function in their groups.

Requirements for New Students

  • All new students may be required to take a placement exam
  • New students must have at least a grade point average (GPA) of 80-84 (2.5) or better to be considered for admission
  • When applying for admission for grades Pre-K to 4, the principal may require an interview with at least one parent or guardian
  • When applying for admission for grades 5 to 11, students and their parents or guardians must be interviewed by the principal
  • All applicants who who are not US citizens must bring official evidence of their immigration status
